Password-Protected Links

Add an extra layer of security by requiring a password to access your short links.

Overview

Password-protected links require visitors to enter a password before being redirected to the destination URL. This is perfect for sharing confidential resources, private documents, or exclusive content with a select audience.

How to Set a Password

  1. 1

    Create or Edit a Link

In your dashboard, click Create Link or edit an existing one.

  2. 2

    Enable Password Protection

Toggle the Password Protection switch and enter your desired password.

  3. 3

    Save

Click Save. Anyone who visits the short link will now see a password prompt before being redirected.

What Visitors See

When someone clicks a password-protected link, they'll see a clean, branded password entry page:

Tips

  • Use a strong, unique password — avoid simple words like "password123".
  • Share the password through a separate channel (e.g., email, Slack, or in-person).
  • You can change or remove the password at any time from the link settings.
  • Password-protected links still track analytics — the click is recorded once the correct password is entered.
